Delete your data or account

The short version

Email hi@zaions.com from the address you used with us. Say what to delete: everything, a brief, or your account. We delete it within 30 days and email you when it’s done. zaions.com has no visitor accounts, and neither does the Zaions Android app from version 2.6.0. The only accounts we hold were created by signing in with Google on the earlier zaions.com or in an earlier version of the app.

How do I delete my account from the Android app or the earlier site?

Email hi@zaions.com from that Google account’s email address; the steps are under “How do I ask?” below. We delete the account, its profile details, your saved appearance settings, every comment you posted and any notification token linked to it.

Versions of the app on Google Play before 2.6.0 (developer Zaions) signed in with Google, and so did the earlier zaions.com. From version 2.6.0, the app has no visitor sign-in. That account holds your email address, name, profile picture, a user ID and your saved appearance settings, plus any comments you posted.

Uninstalling doesn’t delete it. After deletion you can’t sign in with it, and your comments no longer show.

What else might we hold about you?

• A brief you sent, with our team’s notes on it and any recording you made for it, with its transcripts and AI draft.
• Emails we’ve exchanged, and our notes of any call.
• If you’re a client: invoices, payment records and your project’s files.

How do I ask?

1. Email hi@zaions.com from the address you used with us; for an account that’s the Google account’s address, and the subject “Account deletion” helps, otherwise “Delete my data” does.
2. Say what to delete: everything, a brief, or your account.
3. If you write from another address, we’ll ask you to confirm from the original one, so nobody can delete someone else’s data.

What stays after deletion?

• Invoices and payment records, kept for 6 years after the invoice date for our accounts, then deleted.
• Analytics data. It isn’t tied to your name or email, so we can’t look it up by either, and it expires on the schedule in our Privacy Policy. The Cookie Policy says how to switch analytics off.
• Settings in your browser. They never reach us, and you can clear them with Reset to defaults in Appearance or by clearing site data for zaions.com.

Deletion is permanent. We can’t restore a deleted brief or account.
