Comments In WordPress, how to disable comments form a post or form a complete WordPress website.

In this video I will explain to you how you can enable or disable comments on posts in your Wordpress website.

Wordpress has a very powerful commenting system, and you can use it to give users an option to provide their feedback on your posts.

To disable comments on any one of your post in your Wordpress website, follow the following steps:

1) open dashboard/wp-admin of your website

2) click on the "Posts" tab

3) edit/open the port on which you want to turn off comments

4) in the discussion panel of that post "un-check" "allow comment" option

That's it you have successfully turned off comments on this post.

Now if you want to turn comments ON, you just have to select the very same option "allow comments" in the same post.

Now, if you want to turn off comments in your whole website, then follow following steps:

  • 1) open dashboard/wp-admin of your website

  • 2) click on "settings" tab

  • 3) now click on the "discussion" tab

  • 4) here you can manage the comments of your whole website.

  • 5) firstly, in the first three options, turn off/uncheck "allow users to comment on new posts"

  • 6) then check "disable comments on posts older than " and enter "1" days

  • 7) save changes

  • This is how you can disable comments on your Wordpress website.

To enable comments again just un-do the same steps and the comments system will again be live on your website.

That's it for today
