Tags are very important from a SEO point of view as well because when a user comes to your website or search for something in any search engine (like google search engine) they search for a specific term(a unique keyword) and if you have added that keyword in your post tags lists them there is a high chance of your post to show in the search result.
That's why always use as many relevant tags in your post as possible.
